The AFRO-POLIS Pop-Up Experience comes to Paris for two weeks only from 25 September to 8 October 2013.Encompassing a multi-brand S/S14 showroom plus a boutique, exhibition and events space, restaurant and library all under one roof, in a 300m space in the Marais, AFRO-POLIS offers a rich and stimulating environment in which to explore Africa’s cultural DNA during Paris Fashion Week.AFRO-POLIS brings together some of the most in-demand Afropolitan fashion brands including Art Comes First, Laurenceairline, Bantu Wax, Makono, Loza Maleombho, Babatunde, Eric Raisina, Folorunsho, Gloria Wavamunno, Sophie Zinga, Twin for Peace + Fondation Gacha, XULY Bët, Heritage 1960 and Chinedesign.
In addition, a series of lively debates, film screenings and DJ sets will celebrate the global, contemporary African way of life. Expect performances by Patrice, Camille Tanoh, Oya Bun, Battery Alkaline,Tony Allen and Faada Freddy plus cuisine courtesy of Loic Dable and much more.
